Kurzbeschreibung:

Hot Water Music vet Chuck Ragan has announced he will be serving up another folk-flecked solo album this spring. The follow-up to 2011's Covering Ground is titled Till Midnight, and it arrives March 25 through SideOneDummy.

Ragan tracked his fourth solo effort up at his northern California home, with Blind Melon's Christopher Thorn playing the producer role. Ragan's backup band the Camaraderie are back in action, with guitarist-pedal steel player Todd Beene, fiddler Jon Gaunt and bassist Joe Ginsberg now joined by drummer David Hidalgo Jr. (Social Distortion, Suicidal Tendencies). Additionally, the set features guest contributions from Foo Fighters keyboardist Rami Jaffe, Lucero member Ben Nichols and Dave Hause.

While a tracklisting has yet to be revealed in full, the album is said to include cuts called "Something May Catch Fire," "Vagabond," "Bedroll Lullaby" and "Wake With You." The record is apparently full of relationship-geared numbers, including newly premiered number "Non Typical." You can check out Ragan's familiarly scratched-up vocals sermonizing about the state of his heart on the Americana-styled stomper down below, courtesy of Rolling Stone.

"Tides of emotion, will and love are completely captivating and ever-changing," Ragan explained of the song to Rolling Stone. "When love beckons we either run like the wind, go with the flow, settle to make do or work to make better. Sometimes we connect and sometimes disintegrate. In any case or any relationship, whether typical or not, the ol' 'this is as good as it gets' attitude simply settles for less. Just because we're smitten, recovering or bonded for life doesn't mean there isn't any more work to do. We make our own choices to stay, go or heal. Work a little harder or love a little stronger. This tune is a message conveying the fact that there's always a way to build a better now and a better tomorrow."
